How to play Solitaire
Uncover the tableau and move the entire deck to four suit foundations.
- Variant
- Klondike draw three
- Tableau
- 7 columns
- Stock passes
- Unlimited
- Goal
- 52 cards to foundations
Setup and objective
Seven tableau columns contain one through seven cards, with only each top card face up. The remaining 24 cards form the stock. Win by moving all 52 cards to the four foundations.
Tableau and foundations
Build tableau columns downward by rank in alternating colors. Move one card or a complete face-up ordered run. Only a king-led run may enter an empty column. Foundations begin with aces and build upward by suit; a foundation's top card may return to the tableau.
Stock and controls
Click the stock to draw three; only the top waste card is playable. When the stock empties, recycle the waste with no pass limit. Select or drag cards. Double-clicking tries a foundation first, then a legal tableau move. Newly exposed facedown cards flip automatically.
Progress and end
The table tracks moves and cards cleared rather than points. You win when all 52 cards reach the foundations. There is no automatic loss detection; beginning a new deal while unfinished records the old deal as a resignation.
Beginner strategy
- Prioritize moves that uncover facedown cards.
- Keep empty columns available for useful king-led runs.
- Do not rush every card to a foundation if it still helps the tableau.
- Learn the draw-three order and plan around later passes.
- Play useful waste cards before drawing again.
